Nellie Kamau is the Digital Media Coordinator for the Elite Africa Project. As a social science researcher and PhD student at the University of Toronto, she researches state-society relations and the political economy of social policy in Africa. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked in Nairobi as a Social Protection Officer, providing payment solutions to refugees and vulnerable populations in East Africa. She holds an MPP from The University of British Columbia and a BA in Economics and International Development from McGill University.
